Occupational Therapy Program

Occupational Therapy Program
A specialized rehabilitation program helping children with disabilities in Gaza develop daily living skills, improve independence, and participate more actively in education and community life.
Occupational therapy is one of the most essential rehabilitation services for children with disabilities, helping them develop the functional, sensory, cognitive, and motor skills needed for everyday life. In Gaza, the demand for occupational therapy has increased dramatically due to conflict-related injuries, displacement, and the disruption of rehabilitation services.

According to the World Health Organization (WHO), between 49,000 and 56,000 people in Gaza require long-term rehabilitation services, with thousands of children needing specialized therapy to regain independence and improve daily functioning.

To address this growing need, Jusoor Al-Amal (Bridges of Hope) Association launched the Occupational Therapy Program to support children with disabilities through individualized rehabilitation plans. The program focuses on self-care, fine motor skills, handwriting, hand-eye coordination, sensory integration, play skills, balance, and social participation.

Each child receives a comprehensive assessment by qualified occupational therapists, followed by a personalized intervention plan. Families are actively involved to ensure therapy continues at home and long-term outcomes are achieved.

The program serves children with physical disabilities, cerebral palsy, developmental disorders, neurological injuries, learning difficulties, and conflict-related disabilities, helping them become more independent and actively engaged in education and community life.

You can support this program with any donation starting from just $1, helping children with disabilities in Gaza access life-changing occupational therapy services.
