Umut Köprüleri Association held a meeting with İlim Yayma Cemiyeti to explore cooperation opportunities in developing psychological support and training programs for people with disabilities and their families in Gaza.

The discussion focused on strengthening family-centered support systems in Gaza and enhancing the capacity of professionals working in the field of disability care.

The parties also reviewed a proposed online psychological support program to be delivered via Zoom, involving around 100 clinical psychologists, aiming to address the growing mental health needs in Gaza.

During the meeting, Mehmet Yasir Cebeci emphasized the importance of integrating psychological care with family-based rehabilitation, presenting a practical framework for implementation.

Both sides agreed to organize a workshop involving NGOs, students, and academics to further develop the initiative and define implementation pathways.

The importance of preparing the technical infrastructure, ensuring data privacy, and improving digital literacy among participants was also highlighted.

The meeting concluded positively, with a shared commitment to developing sustainable psychological support and training models for people with disabilities in Gaza.
