First phase of Gaza's first camp for people with special needs successfully concluded.
Gaza - In a pioneering humanitarian achievement, Jusoor Al-Amal Association in collaboration with the Turkish foundation Umut Kervan has announced the successful conclusion of the first phase of the camp dedicated to individuals with special needs and their families. The camp, established in the Central Area of the Gaza Strip (Deir al-Balah), provided weeks of integrated care.
First Phase Details:
Location: The camp was established in the Central Area (Deir al-Balah Governorate) to provide a safe and equipped environment for the most vulnerable groups in society.
Number of Beneficiaries: During its first phase, the camp hosted 150 families with various disabilities (including physical, visual, hearing impairments, as well as autism and Down syndrome cases), totaling approximately 600 individuals.
Services Provided:
Fully equipped housing units suitable for wheelchair movement.
A medical clinic providing daily physical therapy and healthcare services.
Intensive psychological and social support sessions for children and families.
Recreational and rehabilitative activities specifically designed to suit their abilities.
Thousands of balanced meals tailored to their health conditions.
