Sponsorship Program for Orphaned Children with Disabilities

The ongoing conflict in Gaza has led to a significant increase in the number of children who have lost one or both parents, while thousands of others are living with permanent disabilities caused by war-related injuries. According to UNICEF, more than 56,000 children have lost one or both parents, and the World Health Organization (WHO) reports that thousands of children require long-term rehabilitation and continuous healthcare services. Orphaned children with disabilities face multiple challenges, including the loss of family support, limited access to healthcare, rehabilitation services, assistive devices, education, and psychosocial care. These challenges place them among the most vulnerable groups in Gaza and significantly affect their well-being and future opportunities. To respond to this urgent humanitarian need, Jusoor Al-Amal (Bridges of Hope) Association has launched the Sponsorship Program for Orphaned Children with Disabilities. The program provides comprehensive support tailored to each child's needs, including basic living assistance, healthcare, physical rehabilitation, assistive devices, education support, and psychosocial services. Each beneficiary is assessed individually to identify priority needs, and regular follow-up ensures that support remains effective and sustainable. The program aims to improve children's quality of life, facilitate access to education and rehabilitation, strengthen their physical and psychological well-being, and promote their inclusion within their families and communities. Individuals, institutions, and charitable partners can support this program by sponsoring a child or contributing with any donation starting from just $1, helping provide essential services and long-term care for orphaned children with disabilities in Gaza.

Vision Care & Medical Eyeglasses Project

Providing eye examinations and prescription eyeglasses for children and people with disabilities in Gaza to improve vision, education, and daily independence. Poor vision affects children's education, adults' ability to work, and the independence of older people and individuals with disabilities. In Gaza, access to eye care services, vision screening, and prescription eyeglasses has become increasingly limited due to the ongoing humanitarian crisis, damaged healthcare facilities, and the high cost of corrective eyewear. Thousands of people continue to live with untreated vision problems that could be corrected through a simple eye examination and properly fitted medical glasses. Early diagnosis and access to vision care can significantly improve educational achievement, employment opportunities, and overall quality of life. To address this need, Jusoor Al-Amal (Bridges of Hope) Association launched the Vision Care & Medical Eyeglasses Project. The project provides professional eye examinations, vision screening, prescription assessment, and medical eyeglasses for children, students, people with disabilities, older adults, and low-income families who cannot afford eye care services. Each beneficiary receives an individual vision assessment to ensure the appropriate prescription and the most suitable corrective eyewear. The project aims to reduce preventable vision impairment, improve eye health, support education, enhance mobility, and promote greater independence. By investing in vision care and eye health, this project helps people regain clear sight and participate more actively in education, employment, and community life. You can support this project with any donation starting from just $1, helping provide eye examinations and prescription glasses for vulnerable people across Gaza.

Hearing Aid Program

Providing hearing assessments and hearing aids for children and people with hearing disabilities in Gaza to improve communication, education, and social inclusion. Hearing loss is one of the most common disabilities affecting communication, education, employment, and social participation. In Gaza, damage to healthcare facilities, limited access to audiology services, and the high cost of hearing aids have left many children and adults without the support they need. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), assistive technologies, including hearing aids, are among the most urgent rehabilitation needs for people with disabilities in Gaza. Ongoing restrictions on medical supplies continue to limit access to essential hearing care services. To respond to this need, Jusoor Al-Amal (Bridges of Hope) Association launched the Hearing Aid Support Program. The program provides hearing assessments, individual evaluations, appropriate hearing aids, and follow-up services to help beneficiaries achieve the best possible outcomes. The project primarily supports children, students, older adults, people with hearing disabilities, and low-income families who cannot afford hearing care services. By improving hearing, the program enhances communication, educational achievement, employment opportunities, and social inclusion while improving overall quality of life. You can support this project with any donation starting from just $1, helping provide hearing aids for people with disabilities in Gaza.

Medical Crutches Program

Providing medical crutches for people with disabilities and war-related injuries in Gaza to improve mobility, independence, and daily living. Mobility is essential for independence, dignity, and access to everyday life. In Gaza, thousands of people are living with amputations, complex fractures, spinal cord injuries, and permanent physical disabilities caused by the ongoing conflict, creating an urgent need for medical crutches and other mobility assistive devices. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), Gaza currently requires more than 32,800 mobility assistive devices, while over 20,000 essential mobility aids remain unavailable. This shortage continues to limit access to healthcare, education, employment, and rehabilitation services for people with disabilities. To address this growing humanitarian need, Jusoor Al-Amal (Bridges of Hope) Association launched the Medical Crutches Support Program. The program provides high-quality medical crutches for people with mobility impairments, helping them regain safe movement, improve independence, and continue their rehabilitation journey. Each beneficiary receives an individual assessment to determine the most appropriate mobility aid, followed by guidance on proper use and ongoing support to maximize long-term benefit. The program prioritizes amputees, people recovering from orthopedic injuries, children with physical disabilities, older adults, and vulnerable low-income families. Access to appropriate mobility aids not only improves physical movement but also enables people to return to education, healthcare, employment, and active participation within their communities. You can support this project with any donation starting from just $1, helping provide medical crutches and restore mobility for people with disabilities across Gaza.

Occupational Therapy Program

A specialized rehabilitation program helping children with disabilities in Gaza develop daily living skills, improve independence, and participate more actively in education and community life. Occupational therapy is one of the most essential rehabilitation services for children with disabilities, helping them develop the functional, sensory, cognitive, and motor skills needed for everyday life. In Gaza, the demand for occupational therapy has increased dramatically due to conflict-related injuries, displacement, and the disruption of rehabilitation services. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), between 49,000 and 56,000 people in Gaza require long-term rehabilitation services, with thousands of children needing specialized therapy to regain independence and improve daily functioning. To address this growing need, Jusoor Al-Amal (Bridges of Hope) Association launched the Occupational Therapy Program to support children with disabilities through individualized rehabilitation plans. The program focuses on self-care, fine motor skills, handwriting, hand-eye coordination, sensory integration, play skills, balance, and social participation. Each child receives a comprehensive assessment by qualified occupational therapists, followed by a personalized intervention plan. Families are actively involved to ensure therapy continues at home and long-term outcomes are achieved. The program serves children with physical disabilities, cerebral palsy, developmental disorders, neurological injuries, learning difficulties, and conflict-related disabilities, helping them become more independent and actively engaged in education and community life. You can support this program with any donation starting from just $1, helping children with disabilities in Gaza access life-changing occupational therapy services.

Caregiver Support Program

A comprehensive program providing training, psychosocial support, and home-based care guidance for families caring for people with disabilities in Gaza. Family members and caregivers play a vital role in the rehabilitation and well-being of people with disabilities. In Gaza, the ongoing conflict, displacement, and disruption of healthcare services have placed unprecedented physical, emotional, and financial pressure on families providing daily care. The World Health Organization (WHO) recognizes caregiver education and support as an essential component of effective rehabilitation, improving long-term outcomes while reducing preventable complications and caregiver stress. To address this need, Jusoor Al-Amal (Bridges of Hope) Association established the Caregiver Support Program to strengthen the knowledge and skills of families caring for children and adults with disabilities. The program provides caregiver training, individual counseling, psychosocial support, home-based rehabilitation guidance, education on assistive devices, safe mobility techniques, pressure injury prevention, and daily living support strategies tailored to each family's needs. The program serves parents, family members, and home caregivers responsible for supporting people with disabilities across Gaza. By empowering caregivers, the program improves the quality of home care, enhances the independence of people with disabilities, reduces caregiver burden, and promotes better health and social inclusion. You can support this program with any donation starting from just $1, helping families provide safer and more effective care for people with disabilities in Gaza.

Home-Based Physical Therapy Program

Providing home-based physical therapy and rehabilitation services for people with disabilities and conflict-related injuries in Gaza to improve mobility, independence, and quality of life. Physical therapy is a vital component of rehabilitation, helping people with disabilities and conflict-related injuries restore movement, improve physical function, and prevent long-term complications. In Gaza, ongoing conflict, displacement, damaged infrastructure, and transportation barriers have left thousands unable to access rehabilitation centers. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), between 49,000 and 56,000 people in Gaza require long-term rehabilitation services. Delayed access to physical therapy significantly increases the risk of permanent disability, muscle weakness, joint stiffness, chronic pain, and loss of independence. To address this urgent need, Jusoor Al-Amal (Bridges of Hope) Association launched the Home-Based Physical Therapy Program, delivering rehabilitation services directly to beneficiaries who are unable to reach rehabilitation facilities. The program includes functional assessments, individualized treatment plans, home physiotherapy sessions, caregiver training, therapeutic exercises, safe transfer techniques, and education to prevent secondary complications. It serves children and adults with physical disabilities, amputees, spinal cord injuries, cerebral palsy, orthopedic injuries, war-related trauma, and older adults with limited mobility. By bringing rehabilitation into the home, the program improves mobility, reduces pain, strengthens physical function, supports independence, and enhances quality of life. You can support this program with any donation starting from just $1, helping deliver life-changing physical therapy services to people with disabilities across Gaza.

Digital Empowerment & Remote Employment Program for People with Disabilities in Gaza

The ongoing humanitarian crisis in Gaza has left thousands of people living with permanent disabilities while dramatically reducing access to traditional employment. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), tens of thousands of people in Gaza require long-term rehabilitation services, making economic empowerment and inclusive employment essential for restoring independence and dignity. To address this urgent need, Jusoor Al-Amal (Bridges of Hope) Association launched the Digital Empowerment & Remote Employment Program, designed to help 300 people with disabilities build sustainable careers through remote work and the digital economy. The program provides each beneficiary with a laptop, six months of internet connectivity, and professional training in high-demand digital skills, including data entry, social media management, digital marketing, graphic design, video editing, translation, and freelance work. Participants are also connected with international freelance platforms and remote employment opportunities to help them generate long-term income. The project prioritizes people with physical disabilities, amputees, and individuals whose employment opportunities have been disrupted by the conflict but who have the ability and motivation to work remotely. By investing in digital skills rather than short-term assistance, the program enables beneficiaries to achieve financial independence, support their families, and actively participate in Gaza's economic recovery. The first phase is expected to create sustainable income opportunities for 300 families while establishing a scalable model that can expand to reach thousands more. You can support this program with any donation starting from just $1, helping transform a person with disabilities from an aid recipient into an independent professional with a sustainable source of income.

"Dignity in Every Step": Building Accessible Sanitation Units for the Disabled in Gaza

Meta Description: Join us in building specialized sanitation facilities for the elderly and disabled in Gaza’s displacement camps. Empower lives with safe and accessible hygiene units. In the overcrowded displacement camps of Gaza, a silent crisis is unfolding for the elderly, war-injured, and people with physical disabilities. The lack of accessible sanitation facilities forces them to endure daily hardship, loss of privacy, and health risks. To be unable to access basic hygiene without assistance is a profound struggle for human dignity. This project by "Bridges of Hope" (Umut Köprüleri) is dedicated to constructing fully equipped, prefabricated sanitation units designed specifically for wheelchair users and those with limited mobility. Impact and Objectives: • Universal Design: Units feature wide entryways, anti-slip flooring, and sturdy grab bars for maximum safety. • Sustainable Infrastructure: Integration of solar-powered sewage systems to ensure functionality despite power outages. • Empowerment & Health: Improving the quality of life for 500 individuals in the first phase, reducing the risks of falls, infections, and social isolation. Your donation is an investment in human dignity. It provides safety for the vulnerable and independence for those who have sacrificed so much. Help us build a future where accessibility is a right, not a privilege.
